THE 2025 National Budget presented by hard-pressed Finance minister Mthuli Ncube in Harare yesterday reflected the myriad challenges facing the fiscus and the country’s economy.
As a result, Ncube had little space to manoeuvre — to make life that much easier for under the cosh consumers and businesses — with his moves to review the tax-free threshold for workers to ZiG2 800 a month, and to ramp up some social safety nets, among the few glad tidings to come from the Budget.
