STATE-owned mobile operator, NetOne Cellular, is planning on constructing a 300-acre smart city in the capital.

In a notice published in the Government Gazette on Friday, NetOne said the proposed smart city to be constructed in Cleveland, along Arcturus Road, was also meant to monetise the telecommunication’s company’s land.

“NetOne Cellular is calling for expressions of interest (EOI) from interested and eligible consulting firms with capacity and proven skills in infrastructure projects development planning and management to plan and design a proposed smart city on land measuring approximately 300 acres,” the mobile operator said.
