ZESA has announced plans to connect at least three million rural households to solar power.
The initiative would initially connect 500 000 households to the solar system with the ultimate aim of connecting three million homes over the next four years, and boosting development in underserved regions.
Speaking yesterday at the ongoing 9th edition infrastructure summit organised by the Global Renaissance Investments in Nyanga, Zesa’s eastern region managing director Milton Munodawafa said electricity provisions and data formed the solid base to achieve economic and social development in the country.
