ZIMBABWE’S May 2024 diesel consumption surged 36 percent to 91,4 million litres, up from 67,16 million in May 2023, according to ZERA statistics.
The rise is linked to heightened economic activity, although March 2023 holds the annual peak at 93,93 million liters.
Diesel is crucial for Zimbabwe’s transport sector. In contrast, petrol usage remained steady at 51 million litres during this period.
