HEADS are set to roll at the state-run Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) as a forensic audit in the operations of the organisation is expected to be completed at the end of this month.

ZTA suspended its board and senior officials in December to allow the carrying out of the audit. Chief executive officer Winnie Muchanyuka resigned last year.

Ray Mawerera is the chairperson of the suspended board. Addressing journalists in Harare yesterday, Tourism minister Barbara Rwodzi said the results of the forensic probe were nearing completion and any board member or official found to have engaged in malpractices or corrupt activities would face the chop.
