Mining investor ‘swindled’ US$250K

A BUSINESS investor was allegedly duped over US$250 000 by four men who had partnered him in a mining deal.

The suspected fraudsters Hillary Joseph Dzuda, Ashley Dzuda, Gabriel Tinashe Mapfunde, and Kudzai Garry Muraicho were arraigned before Harare Magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa facing fraud charges. They were remanded in custody to today pending bail application.

According to the prosecutor, Lancelot Mutsokoti, in February 2024, Hillary Dzuda approached Marcin Kamil Kwiakowski at a business meeting with foreign investors. Hillary allegedly misrepresented himself as a well-established businessman seeking foreign investors to partner with.
